Christmas Morning

Lucky for us Asher woke up at his normal time and not extra early like so many other kids on Christmas morning, though Im sure we will experience that in years to come!  We snuggled in bed and drank our chocolate milk before heading downstairs to see if Santa came.

Santa does not wrap the presents that he brings to our house, so as soon as Asher came down the stairs and saw a new track for his cars and the two black race cars he asked for, he was on cloud nine! (which worked out perfectly because it gave nick and I more time to wake up, drink coffee etc!)
He played with his santa toys for a good 15 minutes before even opening another present.

We enjoyed a leisurely morning opening toys, playing with them, then opening more toys and playing with them.  Asher was excited about each and every toy that he opened, and equally loved bringing presents to me and Nick and helping us to open our presents.

Never have I ever seen a two year old so excited about getting clothes! He has a current obsession with the Incredibles so I thought it was be an cute and easy gift to print and iron on the logo on a t-shirt for him. This was one of the first presents that he opened and he was so excited!  He said "Its a Dash shirt!!!  I put it on an wun FAST!!"We put the shirt on him and he "Dashed" around the living room for the next 15 minutes.  He was so proud of himself and loved showing off his new dash shirt.

We watch a lot of Doc McStuffins and Asher is always wanting to play with "Dr Tools" as he calls them. He knew exactly what it was when he opened it up and couldn't wait to give daddy a checkup!

Asher recently discovered my return address stamp and since is always asking to Stamp, so we thought only fitting to give him a stamp set. Of course we had to open up all the ink and test out every.single.stamp before we could move on to opening more presents.

Keeping with the creative theme were some new crayons.  Asher was more excited about the little box that they came in because he took all the crayons out, stood up and said "Thats my new wittle wunch box" and then marched around the living room so proud!

After a while we went upstairs and when we came back down Asher shouted "WOW!  Wook at all my new Toys!"  We spent the rest of the morning/afternoon lounging, chasing Linus, watching Christmas movies and playing with all our new toys.... until it was time to head to Mimi's house to do it all over again!
