When Asher woke up from his nap, we headed over to Mimi's house for Christmas round two! Aunt Robin and Uncle Matt had been there most of the day and had to head out to Robins parents, so we snapped a couple of photos and then exchanged gifts with them before everyone else arrived.

All the excitement with Uncle Matt and Aunt Robin and playing with new toys, and Asher was ready for a nap again. We set up the pack and play and Muxh to our surprise Asher went straight to sleep for about 45 minutes. Just long enough for everyone to eat and for nick and I to enjoy a meal without having to entertain Asher, and even had time for seconds. Once again Mimi prepared a delicious feast! After the success of thr Mac and cheese last year, she made a double recipe and it's a good thing she did because there was hardly any leftovers. (Of course we were too busy eating and forgot to take a picture of all the delicious food)
Once everyone had their second round of food and Asher woke up from his nap, it was time for more photos and the presents! Thanks to Heidi for snapping the first Freeman Family Christmas Photo
Now with the pics out of the way, it was time to get down to business. We always spread out on the floor and the kids help to distribute the gifts. I took my usual spot of the floor and watched as the gifts kept piling up for Asher (I had a decent pile myself).
Now that everyone had their piles it was time to OPEN THE GIFTS!!! Of course we stated with Ashers gifts first.

After all the gifts were opened, Mimi was playing with Asher and one of his new toys. Everytime the toy made a sound or played music Asher would get so excited and start bouncing. When the music stopped he would stop. It provided everyone with some good entertainment, especially Mimi.
We had a great time at Mimi's celebrating with the family and even were able to make it home in time for bedtime.
It was so much fun to have Asher with us this christmas, and his presence seemed to bring out the magic of the holiday. I can only imagine what it will be like next year. Unill then we have a plethora of toys and books to keep us entertained!
