Viva Las Vegs

We just had the BEST time in Vegas!!! Out of town weddings (when you are not obligated) to be in the wedding party are the best!!

We ate good food, hung out with great people, walked a lot, covered a lot of casino ground (both day and night), did some serious people watching, lost some money, did some drinking and didn't get much sleep. But still, somehow, we are leaving feeling rejuvenated! There is just something about being in a different city, exploring and experiencing it with each other (without kids) that is so refreshing.

Trip started off with us missing our flight (a first for both nick and I) by 6 minutes (well actually missing the cutoff to check our bags by six minutes), but luckily we were able to fly standby on the next flight out (for no additional charge).  Hopefully a first and last for us missing flights, but we still arrived in vegas for a great afternoon and fun night out!

Unfortunately we have that internal alarm clock that goes off regardless of how late you stayed up the night before, and regardless of what time zone you are in.  So after about 4.5 hours of sleep we were awake and ready to embrace the day!

We spent the day walking the strip, stepping in and out of casinos, fancy hotels, and shops, taking selfies, lots of people watching and even experiencing a random act of kindness by a nice couple on the strip, that made our wonderful day just a little more wonderful!

WEDDING TIME!  The real reason for our trip to Vegas, and another first for Nick and I...  Experiencing a real Vegas Wedding, complete at "A Special Memory Wedding Chapel"

The reception was back at the "pent house" of the Tropicana Hotel.  Small, intimate and casual, but a great time, followed by a great night out on the town!

Another late night, early morning and a flight that we were not about to miss, then back to reality.
It was a great mini vacation and reminder of who "Nooks  & Toots" really are.

Of course we missed our little man but NEED these weekends away to remind us who WE are, aside from being Asher's Mommy and Asher's Daddy.
