I took Asher to meet his Great Grandmother, Nana, today. Nana is 95 years old and this is her second great grandson. Nana has her good days, bad days, good moments and bad moments. Luckily on this visit it was a great day and a great moment. When Dad asked her if she was happy with her life, much to our surprise her answer was "Yes!" (this is NOT a typical answer from Nana) When he further asked her Why? she responded "The Baby is Here!" It was so nice to see her light up and have a smile on her face. She didn't even fall asleep the entire time we were there (another great feat for Nana). She just was amazed that I was a mother and that her son, Philip, was a grandfather. She kept commenting on how beautiful his eyes are and what a handsome little "fella" he is. She even remembered his name and kept saying "Asha, Asha" in her Boston accent to try and get him to look at her. It was really nice for her to get to meet him, sweet to watch her her with him, and special for us to have 4 generations together.
