This was a fun visit for Asher because he got a blue Elsa glove while we were waiting. Then, when Nurse Jennifer came in, he got to play "games" with her to check his vision and shape recognition! (He did great). He also a got his blood pressure taken, with a cuff, just like Doc Mc Stuffins uses! (he was pretty excited about that)
Asher is a growing boy (not that we had any doubts). In six months, he gained 4.5 pounds and grew 2.5 inches. His new stats are:
Weight: 33.75 lbs. (55th percentile)
Height: 37 inches (40th percentile)
Everything checked out great and Dr. Worly is pleased with his development and does not have any concerns!! She said potty training is on the horizon but don't force it. She said she will not be concerned unless he is still in diapers when he is four... So we have some time.
The only part about the visit I didn't like is that it's time for Asher to see a dentist. I HATE the dentist, have severe anxiety about it, have an awful track record with dental work and fear that Asher will too. She have us some dentists she recommends (and I need a new one) so we will most likely go get my teeth cleaned so Asher can watch and then try to have his appointment the same day....
We do not have to go back until his four year old checkup, so here's to hoping we can steer clear of that place till next year!
