Sisters Shower

Last weekend we held Sister's Brial Shower.  It was a small, intimate affair with a lof of crafty personal touches.  We held the party at the same place where we had Asher's Birthday Party and it was a perfect setting for this event.  Hosting another shower gave me the opportunity to spend more time crafting and baking (it also gave Nick and I some incentive to reorganize his music room allowing me to share the space as my craft room)!

Sister said that she wanted a magic shower with stars as her accent/decor.  After much searching on pinterest, we came up with a couple of decor ideas!
Definitely the most time consuming craft.  Each star was composed of  2 halves that were glued together.  To create 1 star there was approximately 24 folds
Dish towel cake full of kitchen utensils from Sisters registry, and also additional shower decor.
I cut all these out with the Cricut and then sewed them together with the sewing machine.  By far my new favorite decor idea!  Especially at this venue where the entire front is windows.

Whitney made Sara and amazing ribbon canopy that we used as decor at the shower and hopefully can be transformed to be the top of her Chuppa.
Once all the decor was finished, it just came down to food and drinks.

And I had another chance to make a cake!

Finally, all the details and finishing touches were done and it was Shower time!

Naturally, Sister entertained everyone as she opened her gifts!  She was very animated and entertaining.

And the proud momma and Sister!

And just a couple more pics to wrap it up!

Nick and Asher showed up with flower at the end since Jim couldn't make it in town.
