8 Weeks Old

<< Clarification: 8 weeks old is not the same as 2 months old.  He is 8 weeks today, Saturday June 11.  He will be 2 months on June 16th >>

8 weeks old just sounds so much older than 6 or 7.  Wow, what a week. I survived leaving Asher last Saturday and Nick said he was a perfect angel and followed his schedule perfectly. We got a lot more smiles this week and it seems like he has so much more personality. He definitely can recognize me and Nick. After this week and having so many faces around we can tell hat he responds to Nick and I.

Asher got to meet Bubbie and Uncle Rick this week (see blog post). He also got to spend some time with Unc Matt, Aunt Robin, Uncky JimJim and Aunt Sister. He even got to meet his big doggy cousins Lady and Chip!

We spent alot of time away from he house this week since Bubbie and Uncle Rick were in town which resulted in many more on the go naps and bottles. Overall Asher did great with the change of pace (in fact, I think that it probably affected me more so than it did him). He is amazing. Such a good happy little baby. He only really fussed when something was wrong and was not fussy for too long. He didn't sleep as well after our busy days but it still was not too bad.

He melts my heart multiple times daily.  His sounds are cuter than ever.  When he sleeps he coos almost as a cat purs.  Its so sweet.  And we are hearing even more new sounds when he is awake.  Im thinking that perhaps its the "coos" that the books all talk about but since he has been a noisy baby from the start, its hard to differentiate...whatever it is I love it!   Bath time this week has been fun since Asher has started making new faces when his toes, tush and stomach make contact with the water and when Daddy pours warm water over his chest.. Yesterday I went to wake him up from his nap and he was already awake just laying, swaddled in his crib watching the ceiling fan...and his wake up stretches are just cuter than ever.  Next week I'm going to take more video to document his cuteness!
