School Days - July

We got some adorable photos of Asher on his photo CD and in the daily discovery reports! He looks so happy at school.  Drop offs are still touch and go, just depending on the day, but most of the time he tells us that he had a good day at school!  Now he has gym and soccer on Tuesdays, Spanish and Show and Tell on Thursdays, and usually some sort of special treat on Fridays.  We are in love with Foundations for the Future!

In large group we identified the letter and sound of B then we each got a big B to decorate as a beach scene. We painted blue on top and creme on bottom for the sand. Later we will count and add little seashells, fish, and sand.

We talked about the letter B for Bubbles then used food coloring, dish soap, and some bubble mix to blow the bubbles onto the paper and make prints on the paper.

Our friends had a blast outside for water day! Everyone was sliding and splashing and enjoying the water! (:

In small groups, we used different types of cups to see what we could build. We built castles, houses, and rocketships. We talked about the letter C for cup and practiced our C in sign language.
During open gym we got out the huge parachute and had an awesome time rattling it and making all the balls go high into the air. We also played with frisbees and had fun bouncing each other on the trampoline

We gave each friend a few popsicle sticks, some glue, and a piece of paper and asked them to build something. We talked about the letter P for popsicle and practiced making the sound.  Some friends tried to make squares and letters, while other friends made houses and boats on their paper! They did a great job using their imaginations to create something unique.

This morning our friends shared their show and tell, telling everyone details about their toys; where they got it, what they named it, what it did, etc. We had a great time clapping after each friend shared.

We practiced identifying all the letters of our names and writing them on lined paper.
