Au revoir Catherine

We had such a great BIG family weekend. Nicks cousin Catherine has been living in Florida for the past two years and is now moving back home to France. Over the past two years we have had the opportunity to spend more time with her and for me to get to know her!  Catherine coming to town means the whole family coming together. I didnt grow up in a big family, so I always love these gatherings at Elaines house.

I didn't bring my camera so all of these are iPhone pics. Asher was a complete total love to everyone the entire weekend. He even stayed up till 10pm on Saturday, after skipping his afternoon nap and didn't have even one meltdown! (Hallelujah)

Asher was very helpful in setting the table with Daddy and Aunt Pam.

The kids table!

We have moved up from the kids table, but have not quite made it to the dining room table.

(we even had an honorary place set for Aunt Robin who had to work)

After dinner, the cousins re-created their photo from about 30 years ago.

Then Asher took Mimi upstairs where they played telephone.  Mimi was in her bathroom on her cell phone talking to Asher.

We didnt know it, but Catherine had a whole bag of gifts to give to everyone.  Each one was so well thought out and came with a great story and memory that she has made with each of us.  

About half way through her "presentation", Asher got up off my lap, walked over to Andy, said "HI!", turned around and plopped in his lap.  So Sweet.

It was getting late, and he was getting silly.

It takes a while for Asher to warm up to his "kid" cousins.  Usually they are able to coax him over with various iphone and ipad games that they have, but as the night went on he was a love to everyone.
