PROBLEM SOLVED

Last night, we sent our plumber, Randy, an email explaining that we have a plumbing pipe that the joints actually stick out an inch past the studs (see photo below). Within an hour we had an email back with a simple solution. Replace the pipe! Randy just left and he replaced the pipe for us. Problem Solved!
