DAY 7, IN WITH THE NEW
The sub floor we found under the original tile was not exactly level. It wasn't a huge difference but laying the cement board (wonder board) would make our tiling task much easier. We rented a truck bought all the wonder board and green board for the walls and floors of our new bathroom. We picked up a few other fun little toys for Nick and it was back to the house to unload. That was fun...these things are HEAVY, and it was just me and Nick to do the lifting. We took a little nap and then got right back to it. We measured again and Nick began to cut the wonder board (again, quite a task). It’s funny how even when you measure as many times as we did, that you still have to shave excess off in order for a perfect fit. This was a frustrating task, and unfortunately it was all up to Nick (I'm just a little guy). By the end of the day, he had successfully covered over half of the bathroom floor with the concrete board.
