DAY 15: TILE TAKES TIME

Our goal for the day was to get both the shower floor and the bathroom floor tile set. What we didn't realize was how long it takes to get all the tiles to fit together perfectly while still keeping your lines straight. Of course since we decided to use the diamond pattern it required a lot more cuts. It took a while to get the dry run of the bathroom floor finished, but when we did....damn did it look good. FINALLY, we are ready to set some tile! We started with the shower floor and had to make a few minor adjustments as we worked our way into the final corner. We had a good system down, Nick would spread the mortar and Wendi would lay the tiles. It took a lot longer than we thought and much more precision was required. A little over an hour later we had finished but decided to call it a day. Time to go soak in the tub....we need it today!
